Well shit

It looks like my San Francisco trip may be cancelled in the 11th hour. I will find out by the end of this week.

Apparently our company is in non-compliance with some of the terms of their contract. Now, we expect to be in full compliance by next July which is next opportunity that we have to make the change but for now, we may just be screwed. I asked my boss what the problem was and it woulda been pretty funny if it weren't possibly costing me my trip. Our company doesn't have same sex benefits as of right now. San Francisco's contract mandates that the company have the same health benefits for same-sex couples as it does for what people would call traditional couples. On the one hand, I think it's great that they're forward thinking and trying to give companies a little nudge to do the right thing. On the other hand, they may cost me my trip and chance to meet some great peeps while I'm out there.

If the trip gets cancelled, we'll do it next year but I'm a baby, I dont wanna wait. Waaahhhhhhhhhh waaaaahhhhhhhhhh.
