My Weekend
I had a great weekend though of course my parent's put me to work as they always do anytime I go home. This was the weekend that I had to tell my parents that I was dating and getting married. You see after a really bad experience with my ex(babymama), I'd pretty much stopped talking to my parents at all about me and girls. We were of course more worried about my mom because you know how mom's are but I told T I was telling them this weekend. So I go home and as I'm walking in the door I'm still on the phone with T. My mom is asking me stuff about her computer and some legal forms she's looking for and I in turn ask T over the phone cause she's smart like that. After telling my mom that T will send her some forms when she got back to WVa and telling T I loved her, I hung up. Well I knew my mom would want to know what that was all about so she asked, "Oh now, Who was that?" to which I calmly replied, "My fiancee." So there, she knows and she was really happy about it, really happy as in I was about to go looking for my real mom. Anyways, I told her how we met (yes that we met on the dum dum dum, internet) and how we we're friends, then best friends and then lovers. Then I proceeded to call all my siblings and tell them one by one and of course my mom told the whole church sunday. It was a bit of surprise for most because I'd never mentioned dating anyone and no-one has met her. Isn't that funny, all of our imaginary friends knew and we have a few imaginary friends in common but our IRL friends by and large just know that we were each seeing someone but not much else so this week will be one of meeting new people. I'll get to meet some of her good friends this weekend and next week she'll meet all of my family and my closest friends. It's funny, when I was talking to my pastor, it hit me, This is not a drill, we are getting married in July.
Anyways, she told her folks this weekend too but I'll let her tell her story on her blog. As I get ready for the long week we have coming up, I thought I'd provide some eye candy specifically for her.

Now I'm not going to pretend to know what she loves so much about these cars but this is her dream car so we'll have to see what we can do about making that dream come true. I have a few questions though. Have you ever sat in one of these oversized go-karts? I was so glad when someone finally showed me how to adjust the seat. It's got for places for butts but it's really a two seater with a trunk big enough to hold her purse. Maybe we'll take one for a test drive next week when she's here.
