My Father In Law
I know she doesn't really want to think about it and neither do I. He's going in for a checkup today and they have to replace some stints that basically keep him alive. We are crossing everything wishing him the best. It's hard to believe that a year ago today, she couldn't even tell him much about me and today I would be devestated if anything happened to him. He's funny, sweet and tough when he has to be and I love my Father in Law.

This makes me so very happy! I know how her dad used to be/could have been with everything. I'm so glad that he accepts you and sees what a wonderful person you are.
...and of course you would be concerned for him. That's the type of loving, caring person you are.

Nutz it makes me very happy too. This past weekend when we went to visit, I called dad to see if we could stay there or if we needed to book a hotel room. Mostly out of respect and partly out of the fear that he would want us to get a hotel room because of his past issues. On Sunday before we left he told me that I hurt his feelings when I called, because he thinks the world of Slim. He told me that I could not have done better and that he is happy to have him in the family. It made me love my daddy just a little more.

Just a small update, Pop is doing ok but may still have to go back in the hospital because of some bleeding. This occured the last time also so we're hopeful that it's nothing serious.

FIL is doing better. He's been notorious for not following doctors orders but they told him to rest and do nothing for a while and this time, that's exactly what he's doing.

I'm glad that people are able to change. Good luck to him on his health issues.
