Be My..Be My Baby
Ok we are really ready for this child to get out of my wifes belly. It's downright painful to have to bear witness to how much pain he puts her in sometimes. We made another trip to the hospital Friday. The pain was so much she could barely walk down the stairs but this time we went to the hospital where she will actually have the baby and saw the nurses and doctors and so forth that will actually work with her then. It wasn't exactly the way I wanted to take our tour of the birthing facilities but I can say that the hospital is very nice and when he finally does decide to get out, she'll have an enjoyable stay. This trip around, they gave her another shot for the contractions but also had to give her a few quarts of fluids to get her hydrated correctly. I feel awful that there isn't more that I can do when she is feeling so much pain and they say that we'll just have to bear with the uncomfort a few more weeks till he's ready to come out. I'm doing what I can to help but it's really hard when there just isn't much you can do to help. This trip lasted a good 7 hours or so but we took the advice the doctors gave to use stiffer and bigger pillows to help support the baby when she's lying down and she was doing a little better.
In other news, she's officially homeless. No, I didn't kick her out but her house sold at auction saturday which was a huge relief to us because we definitely weren't trying to make two house payments. It wasn't a huge house and wasn't in an area with very high property values but it sold for in the range of what she expected which is good because it will help us eliminate some wedding and baby debt. I do wish that she'd been able to keep it since it had been in their family for years but her dad takes care of all their rental properties and it's getting to be just too much for him at his age. She gave up something in this and I decided to give up something too. The baby is just a few weeks away and I really dont think we can tote him around in my M3 and while her 325i had four doors, it really just wasn't going to be feasible for hauling a baby and up to three kids so I traded my car and she gave up her truck and we got.......A Minivan...OH HELL NO!!!, neither of us EVER want to drive a Minivan. We got an SUV, which one you say? Well you'll have to pester her to update her blog so you can see for yourselves. We are truly family now.

Aw, it's so hard to hear about her pain. It must be incredibly hard for you.
Congrats on the SUV purchase and her house selling!
{{{hugs}}} It will be over soon and then you can deal with all the midnight feedings, poopy diapers and teething drool and such. That'll make up for her pain, no? *grin*
Yay for family trucksters! I know what you got! (I was on her blog first.)
Soon, all this hard, painful waiting will be over, and she'll be feeling better. I guess you just have to focus on that. /easier said than done.
LOl @ the minivan. They are so practical and nice for toting kids, but I know what you mean. I couldn't get one either. :)
*squints eyes* You are making fun of me!
Yes I drive a minivan.
We had too...3 kids, 2 dogs and an elderly mother who can't get in and out of a SUV or drive. As far as gas mileage it gets the same amount as a mid size SUV so I don't know why people think they are *better* in that regard.
I am glad everything is OK. This is the longest part of any pregnancy.
*giggles* at the minivan. I drive a convertible. Wait a few years, your convertible time will come.
A minivan??? Ouch. I went the SUV route. I thought it complimented my boobs better. Ha ha.
As for the pain, how horrible. With my first pregnancy, she actually jostled inside, hitting my pelvic bone and bruising me on the inside. Everytime I walked up the flight of stairs to go home, I cried. It sucks.
