Home Sweet Home
So last week was my last road trip for a while. We have approximately 10 days before we have a baby in the house. After getting the Pilot last week and car seat and stroller, I think we're just about ready for him to show up. Last week was probably the hardest to be on the road knowing we're this close to having a baby. We both decided though that since the trip had to happen, last week was the best week for it to happen to hopefully not conflict with anything.
The trip was pretty uneventful as I worked till about 8 each night and wasn't sure until friday morning if I was going to be finished with everything in time to make my flight back home. I flew into West Palm Beach, man it was nice down there and I stayed right on the beach near Ft. Pierce. But, as I already mentioned, I worked till after dark pretty much every night so I didn't even walk down to the beach or check out the pool at the hotel till thursday evening. I had a great view of the ocean and the hotel was 5 star except for the freaking bugs. I told them not once, but twice that I had an unwanted roommate. While watching So You Think You Can Dance wednesday a big waterbug (think cockroach on steriods) went wandering across the floor from the desk to the couch and disappeared underneath. I tried to smash him with the trashcan but he was too quick for me so I retreated to the bed and stood watch for an hour and a half waiting for him to emerge so I could finish him. Well he never emerged and I finally went down and told the staff that I would like them to fumigate my room and then burn everything in it. I went off to the office the next morning confident that when I returned the old hotel would be a rubblestack and there would be a nice shinier newer hotel in it's place. Well, while watching the results show for SYTYCD, once again our little buddy appeared from the same spot and went to the same spot under the couch. Now I'm hoping, praying that it was the same guy because the room is only so big and there were already two of us in it. Regardless, I went down and told them again that for such a nice hotel $189-256/night, I didn't expect to have to share a room with anything. I was very happy to leave friday and if I dont get the usual questionaire that they send after every visit, I will be calling Marriott to let them know how I did not enjoy my stay.

OMH! I have to admit, I totally giggled while picturing you standing on the bed. You reacted WAY better than I would have, though.
Yay! Ten more days! I can't wait for baby T&S pics! He'll be so cute!
*smooch*
LMAO @ your "roomate"! Hee. :)
I have been peeking in your blogs waiting for any baby news. It's almost time! Yay!
That reminds me of my trip to Florida back in May. I had a lizzard or two in my room. Little tiny ones. I freaked out a little, but then I just didn't think about it.
I keep waiting for news of a new little guy. I was hoping for news of a human rather than an insect appearing.
Usually you'd be happy to have a guest in your hotel room...lol...
I would have checked out of the hotel that very instant. *shudder*
